Ms. Caitlin Mertins

Hello! My name is Caitlin Mertins, and I am one of the 5th grade teachers here at EverGreen. In 2022, I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. This will be my first year teaching and I am so excited to be joining the EverGreen family!

I was born and raised in Racine, graduating high school from Park in 2018. Some things I enjoy outside of school include reading, taking walks, going to the gym, and spending quality time with loved ones. 

Teaching has brought me so much joy and many amazing relationships, both professionally and personally. I cannot wait to get to know my students and support them both inside and outside the classroom! Through the philosophies of Love and Logic and Growth Mindset, I intend to guide my students to academic success while caring for their well-being and development as future leaders. As a student who always enjoyed her time in school, my goal is to make all learning experiences fun, engaging, and meaningful for my students.
