Ms. Tami McKay
Math Intervention

Hello! My name is Tami McKay, and I am working with the middle school students for Math Intervention this year. This is my second year at Evergreen, and I could not be more excited to be here! I truly enjoy working with my students, and I am looking forward to another great year at Evergreen!
The 2025-2026 school year will be my 8th year of teaching, (7 of those years in a middle school setting), and I have been blessed to work in a variety of settings, including Special Education. I know school can be challenging for many of my students, so I try to find ways to make even their toughest subjects “relatable”. My favorite thing about teaching is when my students get those “AHA!” moments! There’s nothing like the feeling of success!
On a personal note, I am a grandmother of six, (Yes, SIX!) wonderful people, the youngest being a kindergartener, and the oldest is a high school junior. As any grandparent will tell you, I can’t get enough time with them! I try not to blink because I don’t want to miss a thing! I try to spend my spare time surrounded by family and friends, playing games, attending concerts, going to sporting events and theater performances, and catching the latest movies on Tuesdays. More than anything? I LOVE a good road trip! I can’t wait to see where the next adventure will take me!
Cheers to a great year ahead! Our best days are yet to come!
