Ms. Tami McKay

Hello! My name is Tami McKay, and I do Math Intervention at EverGreen Elementary. I truly enjoy working with my students, and I am SO thankful I was asked to join the EverGreen staff after Christmas Break!  

I have 7 years of experience working with Special Education, where I’ve supported my students in a variety of settings. My favorite thing about teaching is when my students get those “AHA!” moments! I know school can be challenging for many of them, so I try to find ways to make even their toughest subjects “relatable”. 

On a personal note, I am a grandmother of six, (Yes, SIX!) wonderful people, ranging in age from 4 to 16 years old. As any grandparent will tell you, I can’t get enough time with them! In my spare time, I like surrounding myself with family and friends, playing games, attending concerts, going to sporting events and theater performances, and catching the latest movies on Tuesdays. More than anything? I LOVE a good road trip! I can’t wait to see where the next adventure will take me!
