Ms. Tami McKay

Hello! My name is Tami McKay, your middle school Math Intervention teacher. This is my third year at Evergreen, and I could not be more excited to be here! I truly enjoy working with my students, and I am looking forward to another great year at Evergreen!

The 2026-2027 school year will be my 9th year of teaching, (7 of those years in a middle school setting), and I have been blessed to work in a variety of settings, including Special Education. I know school can be challenging for many of my students, so I do my best to find new ways to make even their toughest subjects “relatable”. My favorite thing about teaching is when my students get those “AHA!” moments! In my opinion, there’s nothing like the feeling of success!

On a personal note, I am a grandmother of six, (Yes, SIX!) wonderful people. The youngest is a “big time” first grader this year, and the oldest will graduate high school in June! As any grandparent will tell you, I can’t get enough time with them! I try not to blink because I don’t want to miss a thing! I spend most of my time with family and friends, playing games, attending concerts, going to sporting events or theater performances, and catching the latest movies on Tuesdays. More than anything? I just LOVE a good road trip! I can’t wait to see where the next adventure will take me!
